Splintex - Horse Splint Treatment

You know the feeling.  You tack up and hop in the saddle but something doesn't feel quite right.  To your horror you find a splint.

Aside from the guilt and self doubt... Did I push him too hard?  Maybe I should have supported his legs during our training sessions?... there is the fear of long term unsoundness and the blemish on their otherwise pristine legs.

Now there is a solution:  Splintex - Horse Splint Treatment

Quite simply a unique product that 'does what it says on the tin' reduces splints!

There are two formulas, Gold for older cold splints and Silver for fresh hot splints.

Gold Splintex is formulated for older cold splints and other indications such capped hocks, sesamoiditis & early ringbone. Application is easy and does not involve clipping of hair. There is normally no interruption to the horse's daily routine and work can be continued, scabbing also doesn’t normally occur. Over 30 days of application using an on/off cycle is often required for optimum results.

Silver Splintex is formulated for younger hot splints. Fresh splints may typically be up to 60 days after initial appearance and still be pliable to the touch.  When using Silver Splintex allow the horse total rest and should be applied very lightly and bandaged. Total application time may be 15 days, or 3 five day cycles.

If it is not practical or advisable to bandage young horses, then apply Silver Splintex very lightly daily for 3 days, followed by 2 days rest. Repeat cycles until splint is eliminated.

So there you have it.  A product that treats and reduces the unsightly blemish of a horse splint.

Always seek a veterinarian's advice for follow up care of splints.
